pet. Held at the Atlanta Humane Society, Atlanta.
July 12th - "Evidence, The Baby Zebra" makes his public debut at Noah's Ark. Come
celebrate this happy ending to what could have been a tragic story
July 12th - "2008 Duluth Bark in the Park" . The City of Duluth will host the first annual
Bark in the Park. Vendors, entertainment and food with your pet. The official unveiling of
the "Dog Days of Duluth" decorated dogs will take place as well. This free event is from
10am-2pm.
July 12th - Rabies Clinic & Flea Dip to benefit Human Society of Hall County at Sams
Club 3839 Mundy Mill Rd, Oakwood 30566
July 15th - "Fayette County Humane Society Night at Partners II Pizza" 6-9pm in
Fayetteville at the Publix Shopping Center! Portion of proceeds to benefit the Fayette
County Humane Society... Come hungry!
July 19th - " Cherokee County Humane Society Summer Fashion Show", see the latest
in summer fashions while enjoying a luncheon for the Cherokee County Humane Society.
Door prizes, raffles, silent auction. UUMAN Church, 11420 Crabapple Rd., Roswell
July 19th-20th - Exotic Bird Society of America's Southeastern Exotic Bird Fair at the
Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, Perry, GA.
July 26th - "Community Fun Day" 11am-2pm at Cat Care of Fayette, Fayetteville.
Rescue organizations, vendors, games, prizes, hot dogs and so much more!

July 26th-27th - "Atlanta Reptile & Exotic Animal Show" at the Gwinnet County
Fairgrounds. Tickets required.
July 26th - "Poise for the Runway" 6472 Church St. Douglasville. Fashion show and
talent show for humans and pets. Event will benefit the Douglas County Humane Society.
Admission is $10. There will be raffles and doorprizes.

Aug. 16th - "8th Annual Hogs for Dogs Ride and Festival" Stone Mountain Harley-
Davidson, Lilburn. Registration 9am. Ride begins at 10:30. Raffle, 50/50, dog adoptions,
silent auction, vendors, food, music and much more! Benefiting the Gwinnett Humane
Society.
Aug. 18th - "Agatha’s - A Taste of Mystery” is once again graciously hosting an evening
of comedy, murder and mystery to benefit the Atlanta Humane Society. Seating is limited!
Only 140 reservations can be accommodated. This event is always a sellout, so don’t
miss it!
Aug. 24th - "Dog Days of Summer Wine Tasting" at The Lodge inside Windermere
Country Club. Benefiting the Humane Society of Forsyth County. Tickets required.
August 31th - "The 5th Annual Beer and Whisky Fest" at Park Tavern. A day full of great
cover bands, with the proceeds going towards PAWS Atlanta.
Sept 7th - "Bark in the Park" The Atlanta Braves are inviting fans to bring their "best
friends" to the ballgame! Per-registration is required.
Sept 13th - "Mutts & Music" at Matilda's Enchanted Cottage,Alpharetta. Enjoy two
concerts or just one including a best dressed "MUTT" contest. Proceeds to benefit the
Humane Society of Forsyth County. Tickets required.
Sept 12th - "Friends of Animals Auction" from 7-11 at Savannah Station. Benefiting
Bryan Animal Caregivers.
Sept 13th - "Mend-A-Heart Group Counseling". Helping people cope with the death of a
pet. Held at the Atlanta Humane Society, Atlanta.
Sept 13th - "Pet CPR/First Aid". The Humane Society of Hall County and the Northeast
Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross team up to bring you a workshop to help
you care for you pet in an emergency. Registration required.
Sept 13th - "6th Annual Athens Run for the Dogs" at Sandy Creek Park, Athens.
Bring your dog(s) and enjoy a fun morning in the park. All proceeds from the 1 mile fun
walk and the silent auction benefit Canine Companions for Independence. Thanks in
advance for helping us place highly trained assistance dogs with people with disabilities.
Sept 14th - "Leader of the Pack" 5th Annual Motorcycle Benefit Ride benefiting the
Atlanta Humane Society. Registration required.
Sept 21st - "10th Annual Grace's Birthday Party", 600 canines and their two-legged
companions will dress in their finest Mardi Gras costumes and gather at Ashford Manor
Bed & Breakfast to celebrate Grace’s Birthday Party. Benefiting the Grace Memorial
Foundation at the University of Georgia’s Veterinary Hospital as well as a host of other
local animal advocacy organizations. Contest, games, silent auction and much more!
Sept. 27th - "Crystal Boots & Silver Saddles". Rodeo, silent auction, music and food. A
portion of the money raised will benefit the Atlanta Humane Society. Admission required.
Oct. 4th - "Bark & Boogie Ball" at the Marriott Alpharetta. Event features fabulous
dinner, silent/live auction, entertainment and music by POWER PLAY and dancing.
Auction opens at 5pm; dinner at 7pm; Dance 8-midnight. Proceeds benefit the Humane
Society of Forsyth County

benefiting PAWS Atlanta.

Oct. 18th - "Good Mews' 2008 Furr Ball" at The Westin, Buckhead. Proceeds to benefit
Good Mews.
Nov. 1st - "Pickens Animal Rescue 2nd Annual Fur Ball" 6:30-10:30 pm at the
Appalachian Technical College. Come Shake Your Paws & Wag Your Tails! Fine dining,
dancing, silent auction. Dress is formal to semi-formal. Proceeds to benefit the Pickens
Animal Rescue.
Nov. 21st - 23rd - "The Cat Fanciers' Association's 2008 International Cat Show" at the
Georgia International Convention Center, Atlanta. Proceeds from the CFA International
Cat Show have benefited the Winn Feline Foundation.
